Enroll in the Non-residents Records Database

In the Non-residents Records Database (RNI)opens in a new tab the Dutch government registers personal data of persons residing in the Netherlands for less than 4 months. It is not mandatory to register in the RNI.

If you need a citizen service number (BSN), you must register. You can register at RNI. Online registration is not possible, but we ask you to fill in your details via this online form. This will speed up your visit to RNI.

This is how you register:

  • Make an appointment at an RNI municipalityopens in a new tab.
  • Fill in your information using the 'Start filling in data' button below* before visiting the RNI counter, .
  • You will receive a personalized QR code.
  • Remember to take your valid ID with you to the RNI municipality.
